The background color is now unset (transparent) instead of white; additionally, marks that expect to use the same color as the background (for instance, the tree mark) now use the CSS variable `--plot-background` instead of white. For instance, the following style gives a dark background color (with contrasting white for currentColor) to all plots on a page:
