First Place - 2024 DawsonAI Data Journalism Challenge

Our team won first place in the 2024 DawsonAI Data Journalism Challenge at Dawson College. We focused on UN Sustainable Development Goal 8: "Decent Work and Economic Growth," exploring economic instability in different countries.

Overview

We analyzed data from sources such as the UN to investigate correlations between informal employment and economic factors, using Python libraries including NumPy, Matplotlib, and Pandas. Our findings highlight how informal employment can trap economies in cycles of struggle.
