Guide: How to Transfer Existing Web Wallet to A New Web Wallet

The previous app.antshares.org web wallet will stop being maintained. It will only retain Backup Wallet and receive functions. A new web wallet is available at: https://neowallet.cn/

This guide is intended for users of the app.antshares.org wallet that have previously created a wallet on this web app. The guide will help users backup their wallet and import it to the new web app.

1. Backup your wallet from app.antshares.org.

   There are two ways to backing up your wallet: by saving the Wallet file (go to 1.1) or by saving the private key (go to 1.2)

   1.1 Saving the Wallet file

   Launch Chrome/Edge. Log in to your app.antshares.org wallet. Go to the Backup Wallet tab on the sidebar.

   

   Select Backup your current wallet.

   

   Download the wallet file to a location of your choice.

   

   Now you have backed up your wallet file. Keep it safe. It is the only way to retrieve your wallet if you do not have a backup of your private key. (See 1.2 to backup private key. See 2. to Import your wallet to a new web app)

   1.2 Saving your Private Key

   Launch Chrome/Edge. Log in to your app.antshares.org wallet. Go to the Receive tab on the sidebar.

   

   Select Check your private key under the receiver address.

   

   Copy your private key that pops up. Make sure to save it in a secure location that other people do not have easy access to. Anyone who has access to your private key can access your wallet and make transactions.

   

   Now you have your Private Key ready to import. (go to 2. )

2. Import your Wallet to the new web app

   Launch Chrome/Edge. Go to https://neowallet.cn/, the new web app.

   

   You can choose to import Web file or Private Key you previously backed up.

   ​

   2.1 Import Web File

   Select Restore Wallet

   

   Select Browse... and find the Wallet File you previously stored.

   

   The web app will direct you to enter the same password you had for the old wallet.

   

   Once you have entered the correct password, you should be able to see this interface.

   

   Well done! You have successfully imported your wallet to the new web app!

   2.2 Import Private Key

   Select Import Pri-key

   

   Input the Private Key you have previously backed up. Set a new password and confirm.

   

   If you have entered the correct Private Key, you should be able to see this interface.

   

   Well done! You have successfully imported your wallet to the new web app!
