Syeda Nazifa Tasneem is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her research primarily focuses on understanding drought in Bangladesh. Nazifa has an interest in hydrometeorological hazards and environmental pollution. Her previous research work at the University of Dhaka assessed the impact of tannery waste on the surface water quality of the Dhaleshwari River. Her work at Auburn University focused on tropical cyclone vulnerability analysis in the coastal areas of Bangladesh.
