Due Tuesday/Wednesday Feb 28/March 1

Now is the time to take the concepts and apply them to a project idea. The project can be anything that builds off of or is inspired by the concepts we've covered this first half of the semester (motion and physics). It can simply be a visual experiment or a piece of a larger project you are building for another context (thesis, another class, etc.). You should also feel free to think non-traditionally, i.e. your project need not be a Processing or p5.js sketch.

For the first step, you should create a webpage (I recommend using github pages or a blog post) with concise and simple documentation of the idea. The documentation should include multiple code sketches (screen captures ok if Processing) that test out different aspects of the idea.

I leave it up to you to decide what to include, but at a minimum something like:

  • Title
  • What is it in one sentence?
  • Visual mock-up: hand-drawn, made in photoshop/illustrator/etc.
  • Documentation of 3-4 simple code sketches demonstrating a single aspect of the larger concept.

Directions

  • Document your work on the web and link to it below.
  • If you are using Processing or some other offline tool, add a copy of your work to our shared Google Drive folder. If you are using the p5.js web editor or other online editor like codepen, you do not need to share your code this way.
