The panel is the upper side panel window, showing push notifications to the user as needed. There is also a notification list window, activated by clicking the panel window itself at any point. Notifications are pushed using a simple D-Bus API, available in a XML introspection file in the source code repository. The panel is also responsible of the idle screen (or screensaver) that inhibits the touchscreen when is active, preventing any user action. Screen is turned on by pressing POWER the first time; the second press hide the screensaver. The panel manages also display dimming.
