Mentioning Pidgin is an insta-fail. Pidgin is the single source of people's bad opinions about XMPP. Also we might replace Psi by Psi+, but maybe neither is a good option actually given that we have quite a few modern alternatives already.

I agree. Yet, all these software I want to add to the selection is only to index them, not to enable all of them at once. It is up to the admin to make their choice of what they want to appear on the list and what not (i.e. enable or disable).

This while didn't happen by chance. Last week, I have read this from the Book of Matthew 7:17-20

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. So is with XMPP clients we wish to recommend.

Only forks of conversations has good compliance on android. aTalk, BombusMod and Moxxy we will have to collect compliance data before we recommend. Quicksy has same compliance as conversations, as both are built from the same source code. #51 (comment)

I agree. If I wouldn't have read this from the Book of Matthew, I would probably argue with you on XMPP about freedom of choice. So commenting this now was the best time, otherwise we would have invest time on unnecessary arguments.
