Restoring BacPacs

  • During sanitize step we want to drop db scoped user

  • we also want to run a backup, shrink tlog

  • I downloaded bacpac from azure blob storage 6gb, took maybe 45 minutes at 30mb/s

    • I set it up overnight. Used this script to rename current db

  • It unpacks for about 3 hours on my local. 60gb db, 10gb log
