Why are we different?

Often, coding repositories for Android focus on tutorials that are guide-based and curriculum-focused. TFWP is not another guide repository. It is an end state. Sometimes beginners need good coding practices that can be used immediately to develop a product for a business or another idea. In essence, they need something that works but they don't need to become an expert coder.
At TFWP, we feel positive reinforcement is a better motivator than tutorials. Sometimes tutorials, while beautiful and comprehensive, are, at the end of the day, just another PowerPoint or lesson in futility. Our method is more intuitive. We do not provide samples. We provide one template. Through this template, you will learn how to craft your first Android application. Even though you will be able to get up and running with an Android Application to call your own in 8-Steps, the steps you take towards learning are up to you from there. We highly suggest you utilize tutorials to get more familiar with the code you'll need to make a better platform but we have another way (once it reaches critical mass of course).
There is a specifically purposeful component to TFWP that we believe makes us separate and distinct from other tutorial-based repositories on GitHub, GitLab, or any range of git-based and cloud platform arrangements. For one, we prefer one-on-one communication by creating an active developer community instead of an exclusive club where contributions are pigeon-holed for "quality control and assurance" purposes. That means, if you can create an Android Application, you can become a TFWP contributor and start helping others and working with them to create better Android applications. The end state is the mission: we want you to become community members and we want you to become entrepreneurs. Our community-focus is meant to reduce emphasis on "stars", "forks", or other irrelevant metrics. Instead, we want you to focus on getting in touch with like-mind developers to start making the world 🌎 a better place.
You are probably saying: "That's all well and good. But, you are crazy if you think you can teach without tutorials." While guides do matter, our focus on guides is short, sweet, and simple. Code snippets are the TFWP preference. Once you gain practical experience using code, you'll start to understand the coding syntax, architecture, and hierarchy of the coding process. From there, you'll be able to figure out what works for you, ensuring you come into your own as a developer. This also has the habit of ensuring you actually learn how to get things done for yourself, as coding is an extremely unique endeavor where self-study is the most important part to your own learning. Don't just take my word for it. Everything we do at TFWP is backed by research. Feel free to see for yourself here.
This means that TFWP is about interaction and collaboration. It is a difficult philosophy to stand by because coding communities have a tendency to be insular groups or solo projects. TFWP hopes to change the dialogue in this respect.
