Welcome to the Greencycle Marketplace and Resource Management Platform wiki!
The GREENCYCLE project aims to introduce the circular economy system (linear replacement) as a holistic approach to support the implementation of low carbon strategies and allow a 2-4% reduction of greenhouse emissions in partner cities . The implementation of circular economy processes saves energy, water, recover critical raw materials, simplify transport, increase environmental innovation, create jobs, in line with priority 2 of the ALPINE SPACE program. Cities (which are the largest producers of emissions and the largest consumers of energy and materials) involved in the project will play a pioneering role by developing strategies for implementing the circular economy through the involvement of stakeholders of the various target groups (utilities, SMEs, citizens, research bodies) will be actively involved in the process.
A support toolbox will be developed by the project as an ICT tool that will allow the planning, management and monitoring of circular economy processes and will be made public. An important part of the project is dedicated to the implementation of the pilot project, in which the partner cities will distribute a circular economy approach in real scenarios to test and evaluate the toolbox. To be effective, the circular economy requires a critical market and critical mass of materials that will be enabled by a macro-regional approach. A transnational marketplace and resource management platform will be set up to support a market for materials and to have a cooperation platform for further development of the circular economy in the ALPINE SPAZIO, which will contribute to the lasting impact of the project by supporting participation active in the network of local circular economy managers. The project partner cities intend to play the role of "reference models" in terms of circular economy and will actively involve other cities and / or regions of the Alpine space in the network and in the platform.
Informatica Trentina with the support of local SMEs, is developing the ICT platform, dubbed "GreenCycle Resource management and Marketplace platform" (GRMP) necessary for the coordination of actions in the 5 participating urban areas, as well as supporting the involvement of the local ICT companies, supporting the implementation of the pilot action with the Municipality of Trento (Nutrire Trento) in collaboration with the University of Trento (Sociology) and with various actors in the solidarity economy of Trentino.
The GRMP platform, based on responsive web technologies, developed by Informatica Trentina in collaboration with a local supplier, will be the main transnational tool for the practical implementation of the circular economy, enabling the exchange of information in the transnational cooperation network in the compound fields. starting from the 5 cities of the project but open to all the cities that intend to join, enabling a large-scale approach in the Alpine area. The GRMP platform intends to become the One Stop Shop on the topic of Circular Economy in the Alpine area.
