R script to transform contents of .rObj files into CSV files, with an open-access Dryad dataset as an example
Software:
- RStudio 2024.04.1+748 "Chocolate Cosmos" Release (3ada7c6ddc8fcdb86a727a4f0ae467b9d9a7296c, 2024-05-06) for macOS Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) RStudio/2024.04.1+748 Chrome/120.0.6099.291 Electron/28.2.6 Safari/537.36, Quarto 1.4.553
- Packages: bsseq v1.40.0 (via BiocManager v1.30.23)
Methods:
- Download the publicly available .rObj data file from Dryad: https://datadryad.org/stash/dataset/doi:10.5061/dryad.4tmpg4fhd
- Edit the R script working directory to match the working directory where you downloaded the .rObj file.
- Run the R script. In this example, the object of interest is named "bs".
- The end of the R file will generate and export a tabular data file (CSV) to the same working directory as the rObj file, making the contents of the .rObj easier to view.
