Releases: lantzelot-swe/PCUGameManager
3.2.1
3.2.0
New feature:
- Adds an option in the preferences dialog to launch the Carousel preview in windowed or fullscreen mode.
3.1.0
I wanted to get a better experience when running the carousel preview on PC, so Joystick support has been added and the possibility to launch VICE in fullscreen mode. Now you can almost get the same experience running games on PC as on TheC64/TheVic20.
Important: This version requires a manual update of the JRE. Download "xjre18.zip" and unpack in the PCUAE Manager directory when the manager is not running. Make sure to delete the old jre folder first before unpacking. You can update the manager as usual with the automatic update, but it will tell you to upgrade the JRE after that.
New feature:
- The Carousel preview is opened in full screen on a secondary monitor if available. Close it with ESC.
- A USB joystick can be used to scroll left/right in the preview, pressing a button will launch the selected game in Vice. Up/Down will jump 4 games forward/back.
- In the Preferences dialog it is possible to configure how VICE behaves when launched:
-Fullscreen/windowed mode when launched from main window
-Fullscreen/windowed mode when launched from carousel preview
-Preferred input controller (keyset A/B, numpad +RCTRL or USB joystick 1/2).
Fixes:
- Downloads "cbm machine edition" of PCUAE
- Adds SNES mode to install menu
3.0.1
Fix:
Better performance when switching databases in the UI. The game count and file count information is stored in the db for gameviews, previously all games had to be fetched to calculate these numbers which gave poor performance for large databases with many gameviews.
3.0.0
New features
- Support for multiple databases. Each database is added as a tab under the menu bar in the UI:
The databases are added as a subfolder to the "databases" folder. See Database management for more information.
- New menu options in PCUAE/Mode packs to install Sega mode, Playstation Mode ,ZEsarUX mode and Dos mode.
Fixes
- UI fixes to make the menues look nicer.
- Adds a "Version history" menu item to the help menu.
2.18.1
Bug fixes, mostly performance:
- Add a small delay when typing in the search field before triggering a search for better performance.
- Performance fix when reloading all game views (pressing shift+F5) and the preview window is open.
- Pressing F5 in the carousel preview dialog will reload the content.
- Small bugfix for showing the cover image of the selected game properly when the carousel preview dialog is opened.
2.18.0
New feature:
- Adds two new tabs in the USB controller dialog: Speedlink Competition Pro Joystick and NES controller.
These are the two controllers I use the most, so I wanted an easy way to map the buttons for them. The line for these controllers in gamecontrollerdb.txt are slightly modified compared to the original firmware, since I wanted a different mapping. The modified strings are shown in the UI.
2.17.1
2.17.0
New feature:
- New menu option in the Tools menu to fix corrupt Saved states.
I noticed that some saved states can become corrupt on a USB stick (a yellow warning triangle is shown on top of the screenshot and the saved state cannot be loaded). Not sure when this happens, but I found a way to fix it by replacing the .mta file with a new fresh one. With this tool you can fix all saved states in the directory you choose.
2.16.3
Fix:
- Adds a number to the "saved states" and "extra disks" tabs when data is available there.
