Introduction

Hello, we are with KPMG and we will be asking questions about how you would use and interact with a system that allows you to order and procure new hardware and software.


Questions for Both Users

  • How comfortable are you with technology in general? (1-10, 10 is Expert)

  • Which of these devices do you regularly use for your job:

    • Laptop or Desktop?
      • How often do you use a laptop or desktop computer in your daily job?
        • Often, for most tasks.
      • What type of tasks do you primarily complete with this device?
        • Email, spreadsheets, online work, Webex meetings, etc.
    • Tablet?
      • How often do you use a tablet in your daily job?
        • Seldom
      • What type of tasks do you primarily complete with this device?
        • Sometimes I use it to read/write email or read reports.
    • Smart Phone?
      • How often do you use a smart phone in your daily job?
        • Often
      • What type of tasks do you primarily complete with this device?
        • I use ti to do many tasks while I am out of the office.
      • Do you primarily use an Android or iPhone (iOS) device?
        • iPhone
  • Adding items

    • How often do you need to add items? - Every few months
  • What are you currently using to allow employees to order software and hardware?

    • What are the positive aspects of this process? - None, it is a very manual with the help of spreadsheets, etc.
    • What are the pain points?
      • How would you want to fix those issues?
        • It would be nice to have a single solution that manages both the catalog and contracts.
  • Checking status

    • How often do you need to check to see of an employee has ordered an item? - Only if there is an issue and it is late, only had to do it once.
    • What action can you take to resolve this issue? - Check the order details, tracking and if that does not work I call the company for the employee.
  • Viewing Reports

    • What type of information would you like to see summarized?
      • By employee?
        • Sometimes I want to see if a single employee is spending more than others
      • By department?
        • Not for me, I usually only need to track a few employees at a time.
      • Other ways?
        • Purchases by contract would be helpful, this would let me know which contracts are popular so we can focus on those
    • How long do you need to be able to access past order information?
      • Do you need to export this data?
        • It would be nice to be able to not have to use Excel and just get the information from the system.
