Right now I use CSS to hide the things I don't want to see:

I don't need to see some of the info, like commit author since I'm the only one that works on my vault, and hiding some stuff would allow for scrolling through the menus faster. I'm not the other services supported by version history diff but for git stuff, the following things can be toggled on / off:

  • Commit ID
  • Author
  • Time
  • Date
  • Commit message

I know that commit title is used for the title, perhaps there should also be a setting to make the title another value instead, one of the things above I listed.

Also, an option to change the order in which things are shown.

Adding HTML classes for easier targeting with CSS snippets should be enough I think.

You should do that, but also add it in the settings menu for people that don't wanna touch or learn CSS. Obsidian (and the plugin ecosystem) should be accessible to non tech-savvy people.
