This is a Python rewrite of Brian B’s Perl Fluke 9010a checksum tool, which in turn was reverse engineered from QuarterArcades "calcsig," which was itself the product of reverse engineering the Fluke tools.
Usage: flukesig.py file1 file2 ... fileN
Calculates the checksum of specified files using the Fluke 9010a
algorithm.
Options:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
--no-unzip Disable checksumming files inside ZIP archives.
-s, --short Omit directory names from output.

The Fluke 9010a is an old tool for troubleshooting microprocessor based systems. It can calculate the checksum of parts of the address space, for example, to verify ROM contents.
