- You can create tasks and assign one or several responsible users. Tasks, like folder and files, can be created anywhere. Click on "New" in the middle part of the screen, and select "Task". A new screen "New task" will appear.
- In the example below, a task is added to the "Evidence" folder of the "John v. US" case by Ray Mack, who assigned it to Erik Norman.
In order to keep an overview of your tasks, you can receive email notifications, when:

- the task you had created is marked complete.
- It is also possible to respond directly to the e-mail. The response will be sent to your colleague's Inbox and will be visible on Casebox. The task owner can revoke the task so that it will be reopened.

- Similar to case smart folders, Casebox will group all tasks in smart folders. In two clicks you can see all active tasks that you have created for a specific user. In the screenshot below, Ray Mack has 3 active tasks created by the logged in user.
- When the power of smart folders is not enough, you can use the Filter (a button on the top-right corner near Preview) to view the content of any folder.
