Browser extensions for google chrome and mozilla firefox in unpackaged format
Open Firefox and load about:debugging in the URL bar. Click the Load Temporary Add-on button and select the manifest.json file within the directory of extension. Here is a video
Open Chrome and goto Menu -> More Tools -> Extensions tab. Click on the "Load unpacked extensions..." button and select the manifest.json file to load extension.
