Helium will shut down the Helium CBRS Network on March 1st, 2025.

Despite the community's best efforts, we were unable to establish a user-friendly path for Helium
Mobile or any of Helium’s offload partners to effectively utilize CBRS radios for data offload.

Instead of a LoRa antenna, Helium 5G Hotspots use Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) Radios to
provide cellular coverage. CBRS is a wide broadcast 3.5 GHz band in the United States that does not
require a 5G Hotspot Host to acquire spectrum licenses.
