Sensei DE 3.0 - Huge Update & Increased Performance for AOE2 DE

Hello,

This version introduces new and huge performance tweaks to Age of Empires 2 DE.

What's new?

• Disable a lot more effects than the previous versions of Sensei DE. Disable (154 Texture effects + 134 Particle effects).

• New feature: DDS assets compressor to downscale width/height of DDS files so the game loads faster and consumes less memory
  

• New feature: Disable Sparkles which removes that heavy sparkle animation at the main menu and when your game is loading in multiplayer.

• New feature: Low textures, installs 8x8 dimensional terrain and farm DDS textures to improve ingame performance.

• Fixed an issue where the game could not run when you use Menu effects (this one is removed to prevent the behavior from occurring again).

• Improved support for offline versions of the game (without logging into steam). MS store is still not supported due file permissions.

• Sensei DE is compatible/tested on Windows 11 as well.

Sensei DE 2.3 - Fixed Multiplayer Under maintenance

Quickfix to an issue where users can no longer click Multiplayer Button due to the changes made to the new UI of AOE2.

How to fix it? Switch on or Off "Disable Menu Effects"

(if the switch is off , turn it on) Both switches do the same thing for now Until I apply new optimizations.

Sensei DE 2.2 - Custom AoE2DE Path + Windows 8 Compatible now!

Hello friends,

This update fixes compatibility with windows 8.1 (Tested) and probably Windows 7 (Not Tested). You can finally choose your custom game path instead of having to sign in to steam to use the tool. But Remember if you want to use Mods Manager and Additional Tabs you will also need to assign your Steam ID manually which is very easy with the help of the new Tab "Steam ID".

For those that use Steam sign in for Sensei DE, Next time you run Sensei DE It will no longer force you to sign into Steam. You can make changes while the game is running (Except Some changes require the game closed).

Sensei DE 2.1 - Feature Add AoE2DE to Windows Defender

Adding AOE2 DE game path to windows defender will surely unlock more benchmark. I got you guys covered! In this release you can add or remove the game path with a click of a button as well.

Sensei DE 2.0 - Unlock More Performance & Manage Game Settings & Hotkeys

This Version lets unlock more performance out of Age of empires 2 DE than the previous version in addition to a brand new look with more features.

The ability to customize some of the important game settings such as importing hotkey files or setting a default profile, setting a custom ingame zoom value from 0 to 100 or Disable/Enable the following:

• Health Bars
• Click Drag Scroll Button
• 50 Game Effects to disable
• Villager Double Click
• Ingame Zoom
• Shift Append Groups
• Confirm Deletion of Castles/TCs

You can also browse your hotkeys folder or import a *.hki file or set a profile hotkey as your default. (The tool will shutdown itself after initiating steam reboot, clear steam cloud to prevent it from overriding your changes. Btw if you had any trouble installing hotkeys in the past Sensei DE is the way to go as forces steam cloud to update your hotkeys.)

[Updated: 3/22/2021]: AoE2 DE could not be more responsive and performing with the help of Sensei DE.

• Disable/enable 38 hidden game effects and animations.
• Shrink game resolution to any value from 10 to 100 (AoE2DE only allows 75%, 50%, 33%).
• Disable Intro Videos
• Optimize SplashScreen
• Access to High Performance Graphics Profile
• Install Your Mods as Offline And delete the online ones.
• Manage all Mods across multiple steam accounts.
• Optimal Windows Compatibility Settings

After applying these changes, you should instantly feel a major performance and responsiveness difference. Keyboard and Mouse input will respond much faster; for example if you hit ENTER key, the chat window input will come up in a split-second.
