Risk Main Component

  • Classical PSHA-based risk calculator – Loss exceedance curves of single assets at one or many sites. Based on convolution of hazard curves (converted to probability mass functions) at each site with the discrete vulnerability curves (converted to loss exceedance matrices) of each asset in the exposure model.
  • Deterministic event-based risk calculator – Losses from a single deterministic rupture. Two methods depending on whether variability in losses to portfolios of assets are needed (Type B, multiple ground motion fields) or not (Type A, ground motion statistics).
  • Probabilistic event-based risk calculator – Loss exceedance curves of portfolios of assets. Based on convolution of ground motion fields from each event (in the stochastic event set) with the discrete vulnerability curves of each asset in the exposure model. Losses to a portfolio of assets are aggregated per event.

Main (risk) results typologies

  • Loss exceedance curves (single assets and multiple assets)
  • Loss maps (conditional loss, mean loss)
  • Loss statistics (mean loss, standard deviation of loss etc.)
