For the new GBIF portal, we have been asked to capture ideas for how species pages (example) could look. This thread is to capture ideas and input.

Here are some initial ideas:

Generally, the species pages could be simplified, for example by:
- Keep only backbone information and remove descriptions etc. from other checklists
- Collapse related datasets
- Collapse vernacular names
- Show treatments as a title + a link instead of showing the content
