+**simple syrup:**
+
+150g water  
+300g sugar  
+* heat water until almost boiling
+* stir in sugar until it dissolves
+* remove from heat and let cool
+
+**fats:**
+
+500g lard  
+125g olive oil  
+125g coconut oil  
+* heat in crockpot until melted
+
+**lye solution:**
+
+160g water  
+110g lye  
+* following standard lye protocols, pour lye into water and stir until dissolved
+* pour into fats and mix with stick blender until thoroughly blended and thickened
+* cook on low for 30-45 minutes, until it becomes a gel
+
+**solvents and fragrance:**
+
+300g everclear (190 proof/95%)  
+450g simple syrup  
+24g fragrance  
+* add everclear and mix well, then cook for 30-45 minutes
+* add simple syrup and mix well, remove from heat and allow to cool to 140°F
+* add fragrance, mix well, and pour into molds
