streamline some functions and variable syntax and simplify the config overwriting
… monitor name original Change the currently focused monitor and don't change lines without name like 'monitor = , preferred, auto, 1' (used for setting up hotplugged/unconfigured monitors)

I wanted to contribute a little something so I changed the changeres script a bit.
Following changes where made:
Let me know if this is sane and wanted. If 3. should be configured to only leave exactly that line for people that set monitor unspecific resolution I can easily change the script to do that. I personally don't.
