In CC2, doing this would cause the block to start facing to the right, but it would not make the block actually move. This applies to any block, not just a directional block.

I... cannot even begin to guess why CC2 exhibits the behavior it does here. The movement is what turns the block, or so I thought. Might need to think about this one.
