Guidelines For Speakers

##General##
- Please reach the venue on time. Plan to reach at least 15-30 minutes earlier than scheduled time to account for traffic jams or any other unexpected events.
##Slides##
- Create a master template with the following things in either the header or footer
- Meetup Logo
- Your twitter handle
- Event Hashtag (e.g. #ktmjsmeetup)
- Upload the presentation on slideshare even before you come to the meetup and keep a bit.ly easy-to-remember url like bit.ly/ktmjs-meteor that redirects to the slideshare URL
- The presentation can generate leads for your business or enhance your reputation. Make sure the first slide is attractive.
- Limit the use of words

- Try to keep your demo on a publically accessible url and share the short version e.g. bit.ly/ktmjs-meteordemo with the audience
##Marketing##
- Announce that you will be speaking at the meetup on the evening before and the morning of the meetup. Don’t forget to use the meetup hashtag.
- Keep 3-4 tweetable sentences about the subject you are talking about in your presentation slides. Emphasize them in a way that attendees can know that they can share those sentences on social media.
