Premier Release for Archiving
'Data Carpentry for Biologists' course is an open-source website and set of teaching materials for training scientists to use R and SQL to manage and analyze their data. Resources are also available in Python but are not under active development. 'Data Carpentry for Biologists' has been taught by @ethanwhite twice at the University of Florida (Fall 2015, Fall 2016). This release establishes the first stable archive of the course.
We welcome other instructors and students to engage in the active development of the course by providing feedback and additional resources (i.e. exercises and lectures) for the course. See our blog posts on getting involved in the development of this course and about open-course development more generally for additional information.
