Compilers

Welcome to CS4188. This course presents an in-depth study of the issues in the design and implementation of compilers. Topics will vary from basic to advanced in areas such as syntax, semantics, binding, data abstraction, exception handling, concurrency, and functional, logic, and objected-oriented programming.

    • We went over portion of Chapter 2 using Professor R. van Engelen's slides
    • We also performed a simple lexical analyzer using the Antlr

  • 8/21/2017 Note that I will not be in class today do travel conflict. Please complete the following tasks:

    • Watch the following video: Guy Steele's Growing a Language. Additionally his paper Growing a Language can serve as a reference. We will discuss the video in class on Wedneday.

    • Send me an email [email protected] and tell me a little bit about yourself, your interests and why you are taking this Compilers class.
