MetroAreaSplitter

The metro area splitter can be accessed by typing in a metro area ID and the number of metro areas you would like to split it into in the admin panel. The splitter looks like this:

All of the agencies in the metro are represented in a list format, and each has several checkboxes. You group the agencies into new metros using these checkboxes; all the agencies that have the first checkbox checked will go into one metro, the agencies with the second will go into another, and so on. Each agency can be a part of several metros, in which case routing on that agency will be possible in each metro (but one will not be able to use that agency to transfer between agencies not in the respective graph).

The green-highlighted agencies are agencies that have GTFS feeds in the database. If you hover your mouse over the agency name of an agency that came from NTD, you will see what urbanized areas are represented.

When you're done, click 'Submit Query' at either the top or the bottom. The old metro will be disabled and new metros will be created. If you left agencies unmapped, they will get a review type of NO_METRO. If you're running over an SSH tunnel, make sure to wake it up or restart it if necessary before clicking submit!
