Helen needs her bike fixed. Her prefs indicate:

• “local” tag is weighted 4/5;
• “activist” tag is weighted 5/5;
• “green” tag is weighted 3/5;
• “labor” tag is weighted 2/5;
• “quality” tag is 4/5
• “service” tag is 3/5

She trusts:

• her facebook friends 3/5 on everything
• Alice, Jim, and Abdul for activist ratings, all at 4.5/5 (they are on multiple servers, including lokiloka and yelp, etc.)
• MyGreenConsumer at 2.5/5 for green ratings
• KnowMore at 4/5 for everything

She types “bike fix” into her aggregator “desires” box, with a weight of 4/5.

Now, in her aggregator under “available” the following are entries are at the top:

• Fresh veggies from SunGrow CSA! [this desire is weighted 5/5]
• Revolutionary bike repair by Edge, local activist doing house visits [good activist ratings, not so great on service]
• Community Cycling Center [very local, great on service, not as high activist]
• CityBikes [great labor ratings, not as local, etc.]
