The CarPi Project is a piece of software, that was started to turn the Raspberry Pi into a device that can read from the OBD-II Port in current vehicles.
The following hardware was used to develop the project:
- Raspberry Pi version B
- USB-2-RS232 OBD-2 Dongle with an STN1101 chip (ELM327 alternative)
- Cooking-Hacks 3G + GPS Module
- c++11 compatible compiler, tested with gcc-4.7.2
- boost v1.5.4
Thanks go out to Michael Carpenter who created the libobd which was modified for this project to fit our needs.
