You can use any USB to UART adapter (which has a 5V supply line) to connect to this port. Note MCU TX will connect to the RX port of your UART adapter and MCU RX to the TX port of the adapter. Be sure to connect the 5V supply (not 3.3V) to the 5V pin.

You can install something like this along with a USB to UART adapter to provide a convenient external USB connection.
