Combine with Shortcuts
B9ChatAI supports Shortcuts, which allows you to access its powerful features by simple combinations. For example, you can ask AI a question by selecting text in any application, or use AI to process and automatically replace text. The following video shows how to use this feature, which requires B9ChatAI Build 51+ and macOS 13+:
QuickAction.from.Touch.Bar.mp4
In above video, Quick Action are triggered via the Touch Bar, which is not set to display Quick Actions by default. To add the "Quick Actions" option to the Touch Bar, go to System Settings, search Touch Bar then change "Touch Bar shows" to "Quick Actions".

In the details of the Shortcuts, you can set how to trigger the Quick Action. In addition to triggering it via the Touch Bar, you can also trigger it via a global hotkey or by adding it to the Services menu. For most applications, you can find the "Services" menu in the application menu:
The Services menu may also be found in the right-click menu, and its appearance may vary by application. If some applications do not have the Services menu, you can submit a bug report to that app developer.
You can download these two templates to start customizing your own Shortcuts:
Each Shortcuts can consist of three parts: input, processing, and output. We accept text input from "Quick Actions", and if there is no input, several options are available:
- Stop and Respond: Terminate execution and display a popup message.
- Ask For: Display a popup for text input.
- Get Clipboard: Send the clipboard contents to AI.
- Continue: Same as the "Ask For", a popup will ask for input.
Then, it is set which conversation the output should be sent to. Finally, the output may take the form of several commonly used options:
