Hello Andres,
When mounting S3 bucket to existing directory, the directory must be empty, otherwise the action fails with an error. When doing it manually, I can erase the directory first and then mount it, to workaround the issue.
However, there is a third party service on my server, which creates some empty subfolders in the folder to be mounted. It is a backup tool, and that behavior is expected. I created a systemd service which mounts S3 bucket upon the host reboot, but the reboot also triggers those subfolders creation by the backup tools and prevents S3 mountpoint to complete. Once more, I can delete them first and then mount the bucket, but I would rather not have to fiddle with it and was able to mount regardless if there are any folders already or not, as it’s possible with the standard Linux mount command.
Best,
Jan

Feature to mount a nonempty folder is requested. Presently mounting fails if target folder is not empty.
