There's a page describing the process. The publisher needs an Azure DevOps account. This can be zero cost.

I thought adding pkl to a GitHub codespace (see pkl-community/setup-pkl#58).
Right now it is quite "hard" to do because pkl is not officially available at the VSCode Marketplace (se also pkl-community/setup-pkl#58 (comment))

As you - @bioball - mention already in February that you're looking into it, I wanted to ask if there is something we can do/help to move forward with that? Or are there already any plans from your side when you will publish it? Or why it is not yet published 😁

Yeah i think not having pkl on vscode holds pkl back to grow
