Who are we?

We are a four-year-old robotics startup with a small and smart team of doers who passionately apply advanced technologies in robotics and software to solve real-world problems, making life easier for our customers.

We specialize in designing and developing advanced Hybrid AMRs that combine the benefits of both Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). By integrating state-of-the-art hardware, robust software architecture, and advanced perception capabilities, we create Hybrid AMRs that perceive their surroundings, make intelligent decisions, and navigate autonomously.

We’re looking for a motivated Back-end Developer who wants to be a big part of a team in a start-up environment! This role offers opportunities for growth, creativity, and fun in a unique environment where your work will make an immediate impact.

What will you be doing?

• Design, develop, and maintain a range of backend applications using the latest technologies.
• Provide technical support for ad hoc initiatives across all departments (e.g., automation, reporting, data analysis, marketing analytics, etc.).
• Contribute product and feature ideas to solve problems for existing and new applications.
• Exercise your creative judgment to achieve high-level project goals.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code while minimizing technical debt.
• Collaborate closely with the front-end team to ensure effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementations.
• Maintain constant communication with the ROS (Robot Operating System) team to integrate the backend with the robot.

What do we expect from you?

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the JavaScript runtime environment.
• Expertise in Node.js and Express.js.
• Experience with MongoDB and understanding of database concepts.
• Knowledge of Socket.io and real-time communication.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks like React or Next.js).

Soft Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Passionate about building an innovative culture.
• Ability to accept criticism and exhibit discipline in work practices.

Responsibilities

• Security: Possess a base knowledge of security and techniques to address security issues effectively.
• Architecture: Responsible for software architecture, code structure, data structure, file separation, and planning to avoid unnecessary development cycle confusion.
• Debugging: Self-debugging to ensure code is bug-free, and proficient in testing code for bugs.
• Database/Web Storage: Expertise in relational databases, NoSQL databases, and memory storage, with the ability to design and manipulate complex database queries.
• Design: Awareness of basic design techniques, crucial for designing user-friendly APIs and having fundamental design principles including rapid prototyping.

Nice To Have

• Experience with JS front-end frameworks, Browser Developer Tools, Postman, and DevOps.
• Skills in JavaScript, MERN Stack, DevOps, Fullstack Development, and Project Management.
