Requirements, Installation and Updates
Check the Compatibility page for up-to-date requirements information. Newer versions of Social Login typically only support newer versions of Joomla! and PHP.
Due to the nature of SocialLogin it's extremely likely that we will require one of the actively supported versions of PHP.
Please note that there are two active versions of SocialLogin:
- SocialLogin 3 is only supported on Joomla 3 and only until August 17th, 2023 when Joomla 3 itself becomes End of Life. Until that time we only offer minimal support. If an integration breaks we might simply remove it.
- SocialLogin 4 and later versions are supported on Joomla 4 and later per our Compatibility page. This is the actively developed and supported version of SocialLogin. Any new features, bug fixes, support for new Joomla and PHP versions etc will only take place in these versions.
Download the installable ZIP file from our site's Download page. You can install it just like any other Joomla! extension.
You can update the extension just like any other Joomla! extension.
You can uninstall the extension just like any other Joomla! extension. Just look for the one whose title contains Akeeba Social Login package followed by a version number.
