This role helps with self-hosting GitHub runners on Windows, Linux and OS X. Registering a runner to GitHub requires a time limited token, and only needs to be executed once per runner. Therefore the runner registration is optional, and the token should be provided as variable to the ansible-playbook invokation with -e gh_token=<token
.
This role can be customized through a dict named github
.
The version of the installer to download. Currently this version only occasionally gets updated, so it may be sensible to set this to the latest release on the actions runner release page before deploying.
A command used for switching architecture before starting the runner. This is mainly useful for M1 Macs, where setting this to arch -x86_64
will have the runner be executed inside of Rosetta.
