A: GitHub. (currently only here)

A: Fabric and Quilt are supported. Forge and NeoForge are currently NOT supported and may never will be.

Q: Which versions are supported?
A: Minecraft 1.16.5, 1.17.1, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.4, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.4, 1.20.6, 1.21.1, 1.21.2. There are no plans to backport this mod to older versions.

Q: Do I need Fabric API or Quilt Standard Libraries?
A: Yes, you'll need Fabric API for Fabric and QFAPI/QSL for Quilt.

Q: Is this mod open source?
A: Yes. (Licensed under Apache-2.0)

Q: Is this mod client-side or server-side?
A: This mod works on the client-side. There's a way to block it as a server, but there do exist alternative mods, which cannot be blocked that way.

Q: Is this a hack?
A: Yes, no, it depends, as your server admin decides, and everything in-between. Check your server rules for something like "Crystal Optimizer".

Q: Is this designed to be a hack, does this mod contain hacks?
A: No. This mod is not designed to be a hack and shouldn't contain anything that can be considered a hack. It does affect your gameplay by reducing the effects the ping (latency) has on you. Whether this is a hack or not is up to you and your server admin to decide.

Q: I've found a bug.
A: Report it here. If you are not sure if this is a bug, you can join the Discord.

Q: Can I use this in my modpack?
A: Sure. Credit (e.g. a link to mod's GitHub page) is appreciated, but is not required. Monetization and redistributing is allowed as per the Apache 2.0 License. Beware: This mod may be considered a hack by some people.

Q: Why this mod is not on the Modrinth or CurseForge?
A:

  1. Modrinth: As per this message, this mod violates the section "3.3d" of Modrinth Content Rules and will require a server-side opt-in to be allowed on Modrinth. I can see why Modrinth moderators don't want to have a mod like this on their platform, but I (personally) don't want to implement a server-side opt-in.
  2. CurseForge: I don't really like it, but I might publish this mod there in the future.
