Dataset Description

The data contains 965k check-ins by 55k Foursquare users across 128k POIs in 4 major cities: New York, LA, Chicago and Moscow. It has been collected using the Twitter API with foursqaure tags on them.

So, the contents of the check-ins data are:

1. Location: Latitude and Longitude of check-in

2. City: City of the check-in

3. Time: Exact time of the check-in

4. User ID: Anonymized user id

5. Location ID: Id of the location (POI) in foursquare

6. Message: Text of the tweet. (The text had url which takes us to the check-in of the user from which user identity can be obtained. For this reason, we have removed those urls from text.)
