Welcome to the Egregoria introduction guide!

Moving

To move the camera, hold right click on the map and move the mouse.

Building roads

Select the road tool on the right to build different kinds of roads. The curved road is the same tool but for building curved roads.

Once you have selected it, click anywhere to start the selection and click again to lay it.

image image

You can connect multiple roads by starting the construction or ending the construction on a road.

Building houses

To build houses, select the House, Commercial and Industrial brush on the right.

image

Currently, only residential is allowed.

Then paint on the squares (lots) you see next to the road to build them.

Building companies

Those houses will automatically spawn humans (one per house), but they don't have jobs yet so they won't do much. Try popping some buildings using the building tool and the workers will be automatically assigned to the buildings.

Select the "Cereal Farm" and "Cereal Factory" which work together to make flour, and plop them on the side of a road. The building description shows what they create and how many workers they need.

image

image

You can even add a Bakery so that your people can eat!

Try to hold the build button to plop down many buildings at once.

Time controls

On the bottom right, there are time controls, you can use them to speed up time or to pause it (you can pause using Space).

Watch it!

Now that you have made your first functioning city, watch the people go work, buy their bread, go home at night..

Curved roads

Curved roads work in 3 steps. First click to start the build, then click again to set the midpoint and then click again for the final curve.

Elevated roads

To change road elevation, use the "height offset" tool on the right.

image

This changes the elevation of your current points.

Go wild!

With this, you should be able to bit quite big cities, although there's not much happening yet. :)
