Walkthrough
This page contains a complete walkthrough of the game, including tutorials for each major feature.
This section contains a step-by-step guide to complete the game's storyline.
Complete all of the following steps within 3 in-game days (this is indicated via a progress bar in the top left corner of the screen).
- When you start a new game, you will be presented with some cutscenes, read through them and continue until you are spawned in the game world.
- You have a shovel in your inventory. Press

to select the shovel. - Walk over to ship debris, which are scattered around the starting area. Hover your mouse over the ship debris, and left click (or press the spacebar) to clear a piece of debris.
- Clear all debris pieces in the starting area (there should be 15)
- Walk to the right, you should eventually see an alien with an exclamation mark over their head (if you do not see the exclamation mark, you have not cleared all the debris yet, make sure all of the debris is cleared)
- Walk up to the alien, and collect the reward for your first quest
- When you walk over to the alien, you can press the ‘E’ key, and a window should pop up
- Select
Quests
. You should see the layout change, and there should be 4 options running along the top of the window (New
,Active
,Expired
,Completed
) - Click on the
Completed
option - Click
Collect Reward
on the quest calledClearing Your Mess
- Read the dialogue and click
Continue
when you are ready - Exit out of the quests display window by clicking the
< Back
andClose
options - You have 2 new items in your inventory, a
hoe
and 6xcosmic cob seeds
- Equip the
hoe
by pressing the number corresponding to the inventory slot of thehoe
- Click on the ground nearby, and a patch of tilled soil should appear (these are called
crop tiles
). Create 6xcrop tiles
- Equip the seeds and plant them on the crop tiles by pressing left click or spacebar while hovering your mouse over crop tiles (this is the default way of using an item in your inventory, so assume this is the way to use any item requested in this walkthrough)
- Return to the alien and collect the reward for the quest
Sowing You First Seeds
using the previously described method. Read the dialogue and continue when you are ready. Then, exit from the quest display (in future, this type of instruction will be shortened to “collect the reward for <quest reward>” unless otherwise notified) - You have 2 additional items in your inventory, a
scythe
and awatering can
, the uses of which will be explained later. In the mean time, it might help to have a look at the status of your crops.- Move over to where you planted your
cosmic cob
plants, and hover your mouse over the planted seeds - The display in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen shows important information about the plants, most notably, the
plant health
,water level
andgrowth stage
- You can use the
watering can
to increase the water level of crops. You should try and get the water level of your crops to match the number on the right as closely as possible, this will optimise the growth rate of your plants (when it is sufficiently close to this target water level, you should seeideal water level
underwater status
). For example, if you seewater level: 0.8/1
, that means you should try and increase the water level to 1, to better match the crop’s ideal water level
- Move over to where you planted your
- Tend to your planted crops by watering them periodically. If your plants die due to in-game weather events or other factors, you can dig them up with your shovel (using your shovel on crop tiles with plants on them will dig up the plant, but using your shovel on empty crop tiles will remove the crop tile), and collect the seeds again
- Note that if your watering can stops working, it is likely because there is no more water in it. Go over to some water source (they look purple), and use your watering can (as if you were watering a crop tile) on one of the water tiles. This should refill your watering can for later use
- When your crops reach the
ADULT
growth stage, you can use yourscythe
to harvest them. Harvest all 6xcosmic cob

before being able to continue
- Note that you can eat these, and other harvested items by equipping them and pressing the
- Walk up to a cow, and feed them some
ear of cosmic cob
until a heart appears above them, and a green ring appears around them - you have tamed a cow. You can tame other animals by feeding them their preferred food items (you get these food items by harvesting certain crops). For more details on the preferred animal foods, please read the relevant wiki page (taming animals is no longer important for the completion of the story)- Note, if you would like to bring tamed animals back to the starting area, if you hold/equip their preferred food item, they will follow you
- Return to the alien and collect the reward for
Making Friends
- Spend a few in-game hours on whatever task you would like (why not plant some more
cosmic cob
using the seeds you got when you harvested them) - After some time, you should notice that your tamed cow creature has dropped some faeces. You can walk up to it, to collect it. You can use cow faeces as fertiliser for your crops (by using them on crop tiles), which double any plant’s growth rate
- Apply fertiliser to a crop tile of your choice (there doesn’t necessarily need to be any plant on it), then return to the alien and collect the reward for
Fertilising Fiesta
- When you exit from the dialogue screen, you should notice 5 entities which have appeared around you. You now have a sword in your inventory, so find it and equip it.
- Walk up to these hostile creatures, and use your sword to defeat them (note that the
bat
creatures are very deadly, so be careful not to get too close for too long)- Note that you will also have gotten a new type of seed in your inventory after collecting the reward for the most recent quest - these are for the
space snapper
plant. When fully grown,space snapper
s will eat nearby creatures, both hostile and non-hostile. You can choose to grow these fully and defeat the hostile creatures this way, although this may take a while
- Note that you will also have gotten a new type of seed in your inventory after collecting the reward for the most recent quest - these are for the
- Once you have defeated all of the 5x
hostile creature

This quest requires you to have an oxygen level >=95% after 8 in-game days, which is 24 hours before you fail the mandatory quest for this act.- 9 in-game days is approx. 1 hour and 48 minutes real-time (ignoring any sleeping you do by interacting with a repaired ship) so you have plenty of time to explore the world and do as you wish
- After increasing world oxygen level to >=95% after 8 days, talk to the alien creature and collect the reward for
Stratospheric Sentinel
(failure to do this will result in you losing the game after the 9th day) - Finally, collect this act’s main quest’s reward - collect the reward for
