Should I Take Notes

Rachel Moser edited this page Nov 17, 2021 · 1 revision

In general, we do not recommend taking notes because you are not expected to memorize anything. This may sound crazy, but experienced developers have to google specific syntax all of the time. Instead you should get comfortable reading documentation, which is essentially notes that someone has already taken for you. No need to re-invent the wheel.

It can be helpful to jot down vocabulary or make note of broad concepts you want to dive deeper into later. But for the most part, a lot of it will come down to knowing where to look online and over time you will build familiarity through repetition.
