  • Adobe Sparrow JSON Converter (:warning: This does NOT convert animate atlases, only sparrow atlases exported in JSON format!)
    • ⚠️ Make sure the JSON is set to UTF-8!! Otherwise the JSON will be unable to convert!
  • Int notetype support (specify a notetypes array in your chart JSON to add valid note types to use)

Fixes

  • Less hardcoded note types
  • Tankman's health bar color is no longer gray
  • A lot more minor bug fixes

⚠️ This update will break mods made in previous versions!! If you don't want to port your mod over to 1.2.0, then tell people to use the version your mod was made in!
If your mod changed source code directly and wouldn't work as a .pck file, then just provide the exe and pck file!

ℹ️ A list of every change from 1.1.1 to 1.2.0
ℹ️ The next update won't come out for a while since it is a rewrite!

  • The version for it will be 2.0

Added:

  • Examples for dialogue/cutscenes
  • Section Hit function in Gameplay
  • Week 7 Title Screen Shader (press left and right)
  • Make contributors & story menu weeks separate files (Might break your mods a little bit, should be easy to fix!)
  • Move the default mod icon to assets/images (You now have to add your own icon.png to the mod_data folder)

Fixed:

  • Random tween errors when loading into Gameplay
  • Beat Hit post wouldn't ever be called

⚠️ This is the first release of Nova Engine Godot, many features might be missing/unfinished such as:

  • Chart Editor
  • Character Editor
  • Many potential bug fixes
  • Base Game (Specifically Week 5, 6 and 7)

These will be added/fixed at a later date, This release is just to get a general opinion on whether or not the engine is likable.
Mac builds coming...eventually!!!! ! ! !
