This is the Game Design Document, including linked in pages. This is based on the format discussed at Gamasutra.
Project Porcupine is a base-building game, in space.
You provide for the needs of your base, building an incrementally larger base as your resources support it. You will eventually require a resource that you don't have. You collect resources in order to build your base. There are 3 major areas of play that have been identified, building in an asteroid field, orbiting around a planet, and building on a planet itself. Each of these will have pros and cons. You may be able to move your base, or send expeditions to collect needed resources.
There may be a number of scenarios that you can enter.
