Creating a new project

  1. Go to Manage Projects and select New Homebrew Project or New PS1/PS2 Game Project
  2. Another window will open and ask for some details, please note:
    • Project name: REQUIRED
    • Save project at: REQUIRED
    • Game/Homebrew title: REQUIRED
    • You can load a game ID & title directly from the ISO or VCD file, you will be prompted when loading a file
  3. Save the project, now proceed to "Edit ressources"
    • Option 1: You can load your own cover art and screenshots by clicking on the pictures
    • Option 2: You can load all art from https://psxdatacenter.com/ by clicking on "Load from PSXDatacenter"
    • NOTE: This works only if the game ID is in their database.
  4. When done, hit "Save resources".
  5. Click on "Save Game Project" to finish.

Preparing a project

  • Select your created project from the list and simply hit "Prepare project".

Installing a project

  1. Launch Open PS2 Loader and start the NBD server
  2. Connect to your PSX
  3. Select a prepared project from the list and hit "Install"
  4. The installation will begin after you confirm it
  • Note for PS1 games:
    • This process takes up to 4-8min (1disc) - 30min (4 discs).
    • The installation process can look like stuck/frozen but continues in the background, do not interrupt before any dialog appears!
  • Note for PS2 games:
    • This process can take some time depending on game size.
    • Homebrew however should be installed in some minutes.
