Prerequisites

Installation

1. Clone the Repository

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/AdTechDataDashboard.git cd AdTechDataDashboard

2. Set Up a Virtual Environment (Recommended)

   python -m venv venv source venv/bin/activate # On Windows use `venv\Scripts\activate`

3. Install Dependencies

   pip install -r requirements.txt

4. Configure the Database in Django

   • Ensure MySQL is running.
   • Create a database named adtech_dashboard.
   • Update AdTechDashboard/settings.py with your database settings.

5. Run Database Migrations

   python manage.py makemigrations python manage.py migrate

6. Start the Development Server

   python manage.py runserver

Generating Mock Data

Use the custom Django management command to generate mock ad data.

python manage.py generate_mockdata <number_of_entries>

For example, to generate 100 entries, run:

python manage.py generate_mockdata 100

Usage

• API endpoints can be accessed at http://localhost:8000/api/.
• API mocked data can be accessed at http://localhost:8000/api/ad_data.
