Versioning
The version of SolidEdge.Community.dll and SolidEdge.Community NuGet package will closely mirror the version of Solid Edge that it was built against.
The following table demonstrates the versioning strategy.
Solid Edge | Solid Edge Version | SolidEdge.Community Version |
---|---|---|
Solid Edge ST7 | 107.0.0.104 | 107.0.0 (Initial release) |
Solid Edge ST7 | 107.0.0.104 | 107.0.1 (Minor update) |
Solid Edge ST7 MP1 | 107.0.1.? | 107.1.0 (MP update) |
Solid Edge ST7 MP2 | 107.0.2.? | 107.2.0 (MP update) |
For the most part, Solid Edge APIs are backwards compatible. You can safely use an older version of the SolidEdge.Community NuGet package with a newer version of Solid Edge. Likewise, you can also use a newer version of the SolidEdge.Community NuGet package with an older version of Solid Edge as long as you don't try to use an API that wasn't available in the older version of Solid Edge.
Note: The Solid Edge SDK url provided below will change with future releases.
The Solid Edge SDK is available online and has a What's New section that lets you know what APIs are new for a particular release of Solid Edge.
