Seeing an error with this release while trying to read existing View objects.

Error: getting policy references for view: 000606 (57P03): No active warehouse selected in the current session. Select an active warehouse with the 'use warehouse' command.

Hey @chris-codaio. This is expected. Please check the note in the documentation: https://registry.terraform.io/providers/Snowflake-Labs/snowflake/latest/docs/resources/view.

Instead of providing the default warehouse for your tf user, you can also specify the warehouse in the connection details using https://registry.terraform.io/providers/Snowflake-Labs/snowflake/latest/docs#warehouse.

My bad for missing that. Thanks for the pointers!

No worries.

We are aware that setting warehouse using the listed options is not ideal (e.g. for situations where different warehouses should be used in a single tf deployment). We will address this topic, but probably after V1.

One option we consider is to have a warehouse on each particular resource (and call use warehouse before each operation), but there is no UNSET WAREHOUSE command in Snowflake, so this has to be approached carefully (keep the previously selected warehouse and use it after the operation? Check the default on the user and fallback there? Open an entirely new connection for resources explicitly using warehouse?). This is why we decided to use the listed workarounds for now.

I will add this to the design decisions for better transparency.
