Traits

Materials in Tinker's Construct have 'traits', special abilities or effects that are applied to a tool when made out of those materials. Tinker's Aether materials are no exception.

A few of these traits are taken directly from abilities that these materials have when you make regular, lame, non-tinker's tools from them.

Antigravity

Allows a tool to make blocks float when you right click them, provided you're sneaking, at the cost of 5 durability.

It only works on blocks the tool is effective against, and can harvest.
e.g. A pickaxe with Iron mining level will work on stone and diamond ore, but not wood, dirt, or obsidian.

Applied to: Gravitite tool heads.

Launching

Sends (living) entities flying up into the air when you hit them.

Applied to: Any Gravitite tool part.

Zany

Makes a tool mine faster the closer it gets to being broken. Sort of like 'Stonebound', but better.

• Durability <= 80%: x2 multiplier
• Durability <= 60%: x3 multiplier
• Durability <= 40%: x4 multiplier
• Durability <= 20%: x6 multiplier

The current multiplier can be viewed by putting your tool in a Tool Station or Tool Forge.

Applied to: Zanite tool heads.

Enlightened

Grants tools a 5% chance to drop an Ambrosium shard when a block is broken or a mob is killed.

Applied to: Holystone tool heads.

Rooted

Doubles drops from naturally generated Aether blocks.

It only works on certain Aether blocks the tool is effective against, and generated naturally.
e.g. A shovel will double Aether grass and Aether dirt that generated naturally, but not Vanilla Dirt, Holystone or Aether Dirt placed by a player.

Applied to: Skyroot tool heads.

Gilded

Lets an axe harvest Golden Amber from Golden Oak logs.

Does absolutely nothing on other tools.

Applied to: Gravitite tool heads
Applied to: Valkyrie tool heads
Applied to: Any Golden Amber tool part.

Swetty

Much like Slimey from regular Tinker's, except it spawns Swets instead.

Has a really small chance (0.33%) to spawn a Swet when a block is broken or a mob is killed.

Applied to: Any Swet tool part.

Festive

Has a really 50% chance to drop a Candy Cane when a block is broken or a mob is killed.

Applied to: Any Candy Cane tool part.

Cushy

Much like Squeaky from regular Tinker's, except it doesn't nullify attack damage completely, and doesn't make a satisfying sound.

Applies the Silk Touch effect to a tool, at the cost of 90% of your tool's attack damage.

Applied to: Any Cold Aercloud tool part.
Applied to: Any Blue Aercloud tool part.
Applied to: Any Gold Aercloud tool part.

Reach

Extends a player's reach for both attacks and block breaking significantly.

Does not work for special attacks, like the Frying Pan's Super Bonk.

Applied to: Any Valkyrie tool part.
