DO NOT EDIT HERE. MOVED OVER TO GOOGLE DOC:

Your bGeigie Zen is an instrument to measure and log ionizing radiation. This chapter explains the basics of radiation and its measurement.
(Can we get a nice general explanation of radiation and measurement from an authoritative source and reprint with permission?? Better than reinventing.)
In Drive mode, the counts are summed (what is the algorithm??) over 1 minute, the display is updated after 1 second, logged every 5 seconds.
Remove your bGeigie Zen from its protective case and hold the device close to the ground to measure the spot intensity. The measurements are counted for the last 5 seconds, updated every second. Logging is done (HOW OFTEN??) seconds.
In Fixed mode, the counts are averaged over 5 minutes, updated every 5 seconds. Measurements are logged every 5 minutes. If the alarm threshold (set in the configuration or SAFEZEN.TXT
file) is exceeeded, the measurements are logged more frequently (HOW OFTEN ??)
